HSDD in Women
Is HSDD only found in women?
Most women are surprised to find out that HSDD is not a disease that afflicts
only women. Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder can occur in males and females,
however far more women acquire HSDD than men. Although men can certainly
experience HSDD, it is far more common for men to experience erectile
dysfunction than to suffer from hypoactive sexual desire disorder.
Although men can suffer from HSDD, the focus of this site is to give information on HSDD
in women, as many more women experience this problem than men, yet it seems there are far
fewer treatments available for women with low sex drive than for men.
The good news is there are already products available for women which work
very well in eliminating the effects of HSDD and low sex drive. Additionally,
new products are in various stages of
development, and may become available over the next few years. So there are many reasons to be
optimistic that your experience with low female sex drive and HSDD will soon be
over.
If you have reason to believe you have Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder - you
are certainly not alone. HSDD is the most common sexual dysfunction in women, with over 20% of women in the
United States suffering from Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder. Over 1 million
have overcome their HSDD using herbal HSDD treatments and are now leading fulfilling
and rewarding sex lives.
Assuming that a similar percentage would apply globally, this means that over
500 million women worldwide experience HSDD at some point in their lives.
Considering the devastating impact HSDD can have on self esteem and on a relationship, it's obvious
why this disease has become a serious problem for many women.
Is low female sex drive the same as HSDD?
Many women experience a low sex drive at one or more points in their lives.
Often women have a hard time telling the difference between a short period of
decreased sex drive and HSDD. Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) is a
deficiency or absence of sexual fantasies and desire for sexual activity. It is
considered a disorder if it causes distress for the woman or the woman's
relationship, and is present for a period of time.
It must be determined that this lack of desire or interest in sex
is not the result of another psychological disorder which is the primary
problem. Probably one of the best indicators if a woman is suffering from a
temporary case of low female sex drive or HSDD is the length of time this
decreased interest in sex has been going on.
If the disinterest in sex has been
going on for a significant length of time, and is causing stress for the woman
or her partner, this is most likely a case of Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder.
If it has been going on for a relatively short amount of time, and has yet to
cause stress in the woman's life or relationship, there's a good chance it's a
matter of low female sex drive.
There's a pretty good chance that if you're visiting this website, you suffer
from HSDD. Why? Because obviously low libido has affected your life seriously
enough - and you are concerned enough - to seek out answers to this problem, and
gather information. The fact is, it doesn't matter if you clinically qualify as
having HSDD, or simply have low female sex drive. In many regards, they are
essentially the same thing, and furthermore the options available for treating
them are generally the same.
Treatments for HSDD and low female sex drive.
HSDD is a very life altering affliction which conservatively affects 1 in every
5 women worldwide. In reality, the numbers are probably significantly higher, as
many women suffer quietly with this problem, and never seek treatment or
professional help. You may find it helpful to visit a physician to get
confirmation that you suffer from HSDD, or you may just prefer to get on with
eliminating the problem by trying various options that are available.
Treatment methods for Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder vary widely, as the causes of
HSDD can be biological, physical, psychological, or completely
unknown. There are currently no pharmaceutical drugs approved for
the treatment of HSDD, however several natural HSDD supplements have proven
successful for most women who use them for a minimum of 6 - 12 weeks.
In any case, although eliminating HSDD will not happen overnight, there's no reason you
can't overcome HSDD or low sex drive. We encourage you to visit the sites
mentioned here to see if it might be of help to you. You many also want to
consider, counseling, therapy, or other professional medical help, if you think
it is more applicable to you and your situation.
Either way, you are now on the right path to curing your HSDD, and restoring
your sex drive to normal levels. If you thought you'd never again desire or
enjoy intimacy and sexual pleasure, we can assure you - a satisfying sex life is
within your grasp. Don't wait any longer - start feeling better now!
